Chiara and Her Language of the Heart

I live in an old farmhouse on the first hill of Romagna, a geographical area in the North-East of Italy. My house is surrounded by the countryside and by vineyards and olive groves, immersed in greenery. And I am surrounded by the affection of my beloved family and my adored animals.

Working in an important urban center, what I seek most is peace and serenity, and when I return home, I feel those benefits that come from being away from the chaos, free from the noise and frenzy (and toxins) of city life.
My photography has an intimate and interior dimension. I try to express my feelings and my moods through it. My emotions in their infinite, personal, subtle declinations and nuances, representing those places and those people that, more than any other, are part of my daily space and my most intimate and private sphere.
I draw a lot of inspiration from what surrounds me… the most beautiful period for me is autumn, when the fog arrives. A fog that can persist for weeks, giving the land a suspended and surreal appearance. The autumn fog permeates the hills with dreamlike beauty.
When I was young I was lucky enough to model and pose for a very important and talented photographer from Bologna (Elio Nanni), who made me participate in the development and printing phases of the photographic process. The memory that still remains vivid in my mind is how fascinated and involved I was by this process that, today as then, had the taste of magic.
Many years later, I felt the need to take photos, I felt the need to tell my vision of the world.
